Career Path Services brings GED and high school re-entry classes to Spokane Valley

Spokane, Wash. – Spokane Valley residents have a new option for completing their high school education. Beginning September 6, 2005, Career Path Services will offer both GED and high school re-entry classes at their new location in the Spokane Valley Community Center.

Education services are provided at no cost to those who qualify under low-income program guidelines and for a fee to students who are over-income. GED students receive one-on-one tutoring from certified teachers in preparation for the exams and have the opportunity to participate in a graduation ceremony in the spring. Other students who are behind on credits often come to Career Path Services to complete high school re-entry curriculum in order to graduate on time with their class.

“We are really excited to start providing education services in Spokane Valley,” said Celeste Estrada, Youth and Education Services Program Manager. “It's not always easy for Valley residents to get transportation to our main office, so we're bringing the classroom to them.”
