DVR Services
Career Path Services contracts with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to provide vocational rehabilitation services to people with physical or mental disabilities. Our DVR services are accredited by CARF, an independent organization- click here to learn more.
We focus on finding jobs that match your skills and abilities. You, your DVR vocational rehabilitation counselor (VRC) and your Career Path Services' employment specialist will work as a team to create your employment plan and put it into action. Services are short-term and intensive, and may include:
- Assessment - we begin by assessing your goals and removing any obstacles that have interfered with your job search in the past.
- Job placement - our employment specialists work with employers to locate the right job for you.
- Training - we'll help you obtain the skills you'll need for your chosen career field.
- Retention - after you've found a job, your employment specialist will provide retention services to help you adjust to your new workplace.
Eligibility requirements
You must be referred by your DVR vocational rehabilitation counselor (VRC) to receive DVR services from us. If you do not have a VRC or if you do not know who your VRC is, please call DVR's office at (509) 684-7336.
