One customer's story

“Marie” wanted a job in janitorial services since she was accustomed to manual labor, but medical conditions required she perform only light labor. We located a volunteer work experience position at Tonasket Junction. Marie set a goal early on in the Assessment to prove to her supervisor she was a hard worker and wanted a job offer by the end of her volunteer time. While monitoring her performance, we worked with Marie on personal appearance, resume building, time management and other employment issues. Her supervisor recognized Marie's potential and eagerness to learn, and promised she would let her know as soon as a position was available. Shortly after completing her work experience, she was offered a job as a Cashier/Cook by the Tonasket Junction and is still currently employed there.
