Dislocated Worker Services
Have you been laid off from work? Downsized? RIFFED? If so, you may qualify for our "dislocated worker" program to help people who've lost their jobs due to shifts in the economy, company downsizing or closures.
Get back to work - fast!
The job market is constantly changing. Whether you were in your career for 12 months or 12 years, looking for work after a lay off is stressful, to say the least. Career Path Services can help alleviate that stress with free services customized to meet your individual needs. Last year alone, our dislocated worker program found new careers for 275 people!
Our services focus on getting people back to work at wages comparable to those they were earning before the layoff - quickly. We use a variety of tools to accomplish this:
- Career counseling with professional employment representatives
- Access to the "hidden job market" through our strong relationships with local businesses
- Employment workshops to brush up on job search techniques
- Individualized training opportunities, including vocational education and on the job training in demand occupations
- And more!
