POSITION TITLE:
Administrative Employment Technician

LOCATION:
Renton CSO:  This position is co-located at a Department of Social Health Services Community Services Offices (DSHS CSO).  This position will work Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. 

REQUIREMENTS:
A professional who wants to join a team-based, performance oriented environment.  Demonstrated work ethic, goal achievement, and the ability to work with a broad customer base required.  College education and two years of administrative assistance experience preferred, but not required.  The ideal candidate will additionally have industry experience:  employment readiness, job development and/or case management of TANF recipients and proven ability to give effective presentations.   Bilingual/multilingual skills desired.

SALARY:
$3,168 a month ($38,000 annually)

START DATE:
The start date for the position is no later than September 29, 2011 or sooner. 

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The purpose of this position is to perform program, technical and administrative tasks for Commerce funded programs and staff.  The Administrative Employment Technician for Commerce funded programs works with the Director of Transitional Jobs, King County Branch Manager, Employment Associates (EA), and the administrative team, to ensure quality services to WorkFirst/TANF recipients and program goal attainment.  This position is funded through the Washington State Department of Commerce.  The stability of this position depends directly upon individual employee, team performance, goal attainment and funding.
