Pierce County – Making A Difference

Career Path Services’ Pierce County Team enjoyed a sunny day helping out the Tahoma Audubon Society and the City of University Place. The Tahoma Audubon Society focuses on providing environmental education programs and advocates for natural resource conservation.

Our team spent the day shoveling and moving wood chips to assist with irrigation for the local habitat, weeding, and preserving natural vegetation.  We also worked together and distributed 4 trucks loads of wood chips throughout the property of the Tahoma Audubon Society. At the end of the day we also assisted with removal of invasive blackberry bushes.

We truly enjoyed getting a chance to spend time in the fresh air, as well as assisting a site which focuses on environmental awareness.
