SAWDC Awards $3.1 Million To Serve Community

The Spokane Area Workforce Development Council Board recently voted to award $3,132,000 to the Spokane Workforce Consortium to provide employment and training services to job seekers, laid-off workers and youth.

Career Path Services, Washington State Employment Security Department, Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest and NorthEast Washington Educational Service District 101 comprise the consortium, which has been award the Workforce Investment Act funding for 2013-2014.

The group brings years of experience delivering workforce development services to employers and job seekers in Spokane County. Since 2007, the consortium has served nearly 120,000 job seekers in Spokane County.
