GED Graduation At WorkSource Columbia Basin

On June 13, 2013, Career Path hosted our first annual GED Graduation celebration at WorkSource Columbia Basin. Nine program participants and their families gathered for an evening of remembrance and celebration. Three guest speakers kicked off the night, including Cos Edwards, CEO of the Benton Franklin Workforce Development Council; Vicki Monteagudo, owner of Tri Cities Century 21; and Nikki Burgland, owner of Studio 64; each with a unique and encouraging message.

Every participant was honored during the evening and awarded a certificate of completion. A father of one program participant, spoke of his son’s efforts, as well as his own, and individually praised each graduate on their success. The sheer excitement of our graduates being able to put on a cap and gown and holding their certificates for a picture was absolutely priceless.
