March 2013 Spotlight – Omak and Wenatchee

This month we highlight our teams in Omak and Wenatchee, managed by Jodi DeCesari (Director of Vocational Rehabilitation) and staffed by some amazing individuals.  Below are the answers Jodi shared with us when we spoke with her:

(1) Briefly describe the team you manage (or are a part of) in three sentences or less.

Our Omak and Wenatchee team primarily provide services to individuals with disabilities. In Omak, we also provide services to individuals receiving TANF through our Department of Commerce Program.

(2) Please tell us in 3 sentences or less about the communities and people you serve.

Our teams serve Wenatchee and a diverse number of small communities throughout Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan counties – each with their own unique cultures. Each community has unique issues related to employment; and our staff works hard to understand the communities they serve, educate employers, and elicit successful outcomes for their clients. One of the greatest things about working in these communities is that you constantly run into people you know – the networking opportunities are endless.

(3) Can you share with us two amazing facts about your team that no one else might yet know?

As of last count, we have 8 staff and between us 9 dogs and 7 cats. We’re outnumbered
