Updated! New Employee: Amy Trosine – HR Manager

Amy Trosine (pronounced Tro-ZEEN) is Career Path Services’ new HR Manager. She is very excited to be part of the amazing team at one of the best non-profits to work for in Washington state! Amy was drawn to our organization’s mission and its commitment to our employees.

Understanding the importance of happy employees, Amy is a supporter of work/life balance in organizations.  She believes in giving 110% while at work, but leaving enough “gas in the tank” to care for oneself and family when the day is done.

Amy believes every employee has the potential to thrive, and the organization that provides the appropriate tools, resources, training and environment is vital to employee success.  The environment may include the aforementioned work/life balance, competitive compensation for a job well done, benefits that enhance our personal lives, management that leads the charge in a progressive yet supportive manner, and even our physical surroundings.  All should help, not hinder employees’ performance.  Amy will work to provide the best employee support possible.

Her approach to HR is one that includes an open door atmosphere, listening to staff concerns, and working in a collaborative nature to find practical solutions. She works passionately to develop trust with others and is driven to increase the learning and development of all employees – all while having fun!  She welcomes your ideas!

In addition to her positive attitude, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table:

• Over 15 years of HR and Management experience working for Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies in the mortgage, insurance, retail, and healthcare industries
• Earned her bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Hastings College (Hastings, NE).
• Earned a dual master’s degree in Human Resources Development and Management & Leadership from Webster University
• Earned her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification
• She is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM)
• Also an active member Inland Northwest Society for Human Resources Management (INSHRM).
• Currently an adjunct Professor for Webster University (Fairchild AFB campus) teaching Human Resources Development and Career Management to graduate students.

Amy has been a Spokanite since 1998 by way of Upstate New York, Wyoming, and Nebraska (Go Huskers!). In her spare time, she enjoys going to Spokane Chiefs hockey games, repurposing furniture in her garage, bringing Pinterest ideas to life, eating seafood (just about anything from the ocean), boating in the summer, sitting on a sunny beach doing nothing (or at least dreaming of it), and traveling to warm climates.  Hawaii, anyone?

She is married to Jason, a retired Air Force veteran.  Her other family members include two great stepkids, Noah and Katelyn, and a crazy golden retriever named Abby.
