Ring The Bell – June 2014

jen-morris-backgroundbrushedJennifer Morris has been an integral member of the King County Commerce team since 2009. Beginning in the Auburn office, Jennifer has also worked in our White Center and Kent locations and is currently stationed in Federal Way. She even pinch hit in Rainier for a few days during a caseload transition. During her years with Career Path Services, Jennifer has demonstrated great flexibility in switching caseloads and geography to serve the needs of the organization and has approached these changes with positivity and enthusiasm for the new challenges. In addition, she has assisted in the training of new staff on the policies and procedures of the organization and the Commerce Division and earned a reputation as the King County unit’s “go to” person.

She has represented the King County Unit at partner and community meetings, including the Auburn Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the South King County LPA. She has partnered with DSHS and other LPA members to devise needed surveys and is currently assisting in the planning of a South King Partner Fair.  Jen has also been the Safety Oficer for the King County Unit since 2009 and ensured that her team is updated on all new information and completes required trainings. She is on the team to plan the Career Path Services All-staff retreat.

While taking on these extra challenges, Jennifer is also having a great program year in meeting her goals. In April 2014, she placed 11 clients onto host sites for enrollment and had 7 clients obtain unsubsidized employment. She has successfully utilized co-enrollment with the Health Careers for All (HCA) navigator in order to maximize client opportunity for healthcare training, which has led to improved relationships with area healthcare employers and swifter employment outcomes.

Let’s congratulate Jennifer on her Ring the Bell Award. We so appreciate her contributions to the King County team, Commerce Division, and Career Path Services!
