Let’s Ring the Bell for Pam Sorlagas in our Wenatchee office! Pam began her position with us in March of 2012 and quickly proved herself invaluable. She has been the face of Career Path Services in our young Wenatchee Office. She can frequently be found at DVR following up on clients’ services, in a partners’ meeting strategizing how to best serve area employers, networking at the local Chamber of Commerce, or checking in at a client’s work site.
As the glue that holds it all together, Pam works closely with her teammates to ensure that all of our data entry is accurate and complete, files are kept up to date, and clients receive any necessary job coaching and support. She provides services to our clients with hearing and vision impairments, oversees the majority of our Community Based Assessment and Trial Work Experience Plans, and is the sole provider of DVR Independent Living Services in Chelan and Douglas Counties. Because of her work providing Independent Living Services, our clients have reduced barriers to employment, including avoiding eviction and homelessness and being able to access much needed medical coverage. In our 2012 program year, Pam provided services to 112 customers!
In addition to her other duties, Pam has stepped up to the plate to help with the Omak Thanksgiving celebration, become the Wenatchee Safety Officer, has participated in the DD/DVR Government Employment Workgroup, and most recently, assisted with the All Staff Retreat Event for 2013.
Pam brings a positive attitude to our office everyday. A hostess at heart, she never misses the opportunity to offer a cup of coffee or cocoa to our clients and comes to meetings with sweets in hand. She demonstrates a genuine care and concern for her clients and is eager to celebrate all successes, whether small or large. Her passion for her work is evident in all that she does. Pam, thank you for all that you do!
