Ring the Bell – September 2011 – Rick Olivas

Rick Olivas is our September Ring the Bell winner! Katie Haney was his supervisor and worked with him very closely during the last year.  Just his ability to do whatever it took for the best of the team and not just for himself was such a big piece of what made their year so successful… especially when the team consisted of only two people.  Rick met 84% of his IQPR’s just falling short in participant wage for ISY and only missing his wage goal for OSY by .02 cents.  Rick was instrumental in placing youth in WEX’s, maximizing the funds available to assist youth in getting jobs. He was a leader for the team in Job Development; establishing relationships with new employers and placing clients based on his relationships with these employers.  This was very helpful in hosting the most successful Career Fair at the Summer Youth Vocational Challenge, with over 20 employers interested in meeting with our clients.  Employers left the Career Fair stating they were planning on hiring participants from the event.  Rick’s can-do attitude was pivotal in making PY10 so successful.  Keep up the good work Rick!!!!
